Ocelots Sweep Home Opener

DETROIT, MI – The Ocelots opened up play at home by hosting our friends from around the corner, Madonna University.

The freshman would go 6.1 innings, allowing just 3 hits while striking out 6. Diego Bermudez came on to close out the game in the 7th by allowing just 1 walk and keeping the Crusaders off the board.

On the offensive side for Schoolcraft, the team would only be able to register 6 hits for the game. Leading the way was Owen Elsey with 2 hits, including a double. On top of the 2 hits for Elsey, the sophomore would also drive in 2 runs. Others recording a hit would be Bryalon Schroeder, Jace Walerski, Nick Bosilkovski, and Abel Gutierrez.

With Sauer in the 3 hole, the leadoff hitter, Abel Gutierrez, and the 2-hole hitter, Brandon Troy, would all combine for 7 hits and 12 RBI's.
