Ocelots Downed In Postseason Opener

MARYSVILLE, MI – The Ocelots make the trip to Marysville to kick off the Great Lakes District B tournament. The winner of district B punches their ticket to the NJCAA D2 World Series in Spartanburg, South Carolina.

The Ocelots were matched up against the Red Hawks from Lake Michigan College who finished in 2^nd place in the Western division. The Red Hawks would jump out to a quick lead, scoring 8 runs in the first 2 innings. Schoolcraft's only offense would come in the 5^th inning, needing to score to extend the game, when Camryn Keough would single in a run and Madison Gray would hit into a sacrifice fly to bring in Amber Burzlaff. Lake Michigan would get a home run in the bottom of the 6^th that would finish the game.

Savina Olada would lead the team with 2 hits, while Camryn Keough, Sarah Collins, and Amber Burzlaff would register 1 hit.

Schoolcraft is back in action tomorrow at 12:00 PM in a win or go home game against Grand Rapids Community College.
