Ten Ocelots Earn MCCAA Awards
LIVONIA, MI – The MCCAA and NJCAA Region 12 announced their 2025 softball season awards. Receiving honors from the Ocelots were-
Kaitlyn Solberg: Solberg would be named to the All-MCCAA Team, Eastern Conference 1st Team and the Eastern Conference All-Freshman Team. In the circle for the Ocelots, Solberg would log 126 innings spanning over 23 appearances and 22 starts. The freshman would earn a 12-6 record while carrying only a 3.50 ERA and 111 K's to just 43 walks. At the plate, Solberg would slash .349/.411/.494 with 29 hits, 3 doubles and 3 home runs.
Lucy Whelan: Whelan would be named to the Eastern Conference 2nd Team. In 38 games and 122 at-bats, Whelan would slash .279/.401/.311. Lucy would log more walks (23) than strikeouts (21) while stealing 27 bases.
Madison Gray: The sophomore infielder would be named to the Eastern Conference 2nd Team. In 95 at-bats, Gray would slash .316/.430/.379. Over 30 hits, Gray would log 6 doubles. To go with 15 runs scored, Gray would drive in 21 runs for the Ocelots.
Vanessa White: The sophomore committed to Lake Erie College was named to the Eastern Conference Honorable-Mention Team. Over 39 games at the hot corner, White would slash .259/.372/.315. She would drive in 23 runs while scoring 21 runs. With 19 walks and only 16 strikeouts, White would also slug 1 long ball on the year.
Olivia Mikowski: The sophomore shortstop was named to the Eastern Conference Honorable-Mention Team. Mikowski would play in 42 games with 133 at-bats while slashing .278/.338/.444. To go with her 37 hits, Mikowski would register 5 doubles, 4 triples and 3 home runs.
Sydney Scoggins: The sophomore catcher was named to the Eastern Conference Honorable-Mention Team. In an injury shortened season, Scoggins would slash .343/.403/.597 in 22 games. Sydney would register 11 extra-base hits, 7 doubles, 2 triples and 2 home runs.
Kaelyn Rozycki: The freshman infielder was named to the Eastern Conference Honorable-Mention Team. In 27 games, Rozycki slashed .320/.361/.360. To go with 24 hits and 3 doubles, Kaelyn would drive in 21 runs and score 13 runs herself.
Ava Swiatkowski: The freshman pitcher was named to the Eastern Conference Honorable-Mention Team. In 14 appearances and 9 starts in the circle, Swiatkowski would carry a 6-5 record to go along with a 4.96 ERA. In 60.2 innings pitched, Swiatkowski would sit down 34 hitters and walk 22. At the plate, Ava would get 13 at-bats, logging 4 hits and driving in a run while walking 4 times.
Savina Olada: The sophomore outfielder was named to the Eastern Conference Honorable-Mention Team. In 40 games, Olada slashed .320/.394/.336. Olada would walk (11) more than striking out (6) and swiped 16 bags.
Grace Matheson: The freshman catcher was named to the Eastern Conference Honorable-Mention Team. Matheson stepped up big for the Ocelots following the injury to Scoggins. In 19 games, Matheson would only make 3 errors while throwing 4 runners out and logging 8 assists.
