Port Huron, MI – The Ocelots headed to Port Huron to face off against the Skippers to close out the 2024-25 regular season.
Although neither team could win the division, both teams were battling for postseason seeding and deciding their path. These evenly matched teams would show that in the 1st quarter. Led by Mariah Scott's 6 points, Schoolcraft's 14 1st quarter points would be matched by St. Clair. With 6 different Ocelots getting into the scoring column in the 2nd quarter, Schoolcraft would see a 4-point advantage throughout the quarter to take a 29-25 lead into the break.
The 3rd quarter would see St. Clair claw back a tad, outscoring Schoolcraft by 2 points to push the Ocelot lead to just 2 points heading into the 4th. Both teams would struggle from the floor in the 4th quarter. Schoolcraft would shoot just 27.8% from the field in the quarter, scoring 12 points, but they would be able to hold onto their lead by holding St. Clair to just 9 points on 21.4%.
Up next for Schoolcraft after earning the 2nd spot in the MCCAA Eastern Division, will be a Great Lakes B District Quarterfinal. The game is scheduled for Tuesday, March 4, at 7:00PM against Oakland Community College.
